MAC Bright Yellow Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium, yellow with a matte finish and subtle warm undertones. It is very much “sunshine yellow.” See comparison swatches / view dupes. MAC Bright Sunshine Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a vibrant, medium yellow with a frosted finish. These two shades are discontinued, but they were also re-shot and re-swatched during the process (I learned many shades were discontinued in the past two years!), so I’ve included them anyway.

MAC Nylon Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “pale gold with icy shimmer.” It’s a light, white gold with a frosted, almost metallic, finish and warm undertones.

MAC Gorgeous Gold Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “muted yellow-gold (with a Veluxe Pearl finish).” It’s a light-medium, yellow gold with a subtle green tint–the tint can be more or less apparent but tends to come out mostly if paired with cooler-toned shades, otherwise it looks more like a light gold. MAC Goldmine Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as an “intense gold with shimmer.” It’s a medium-dark, yellow-orange gold with a frosted, metallic finish. MAC Goldenrod Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “bright marigold yellow (with a Satin finish).” It’s a medium-dark, warm-toned yellow with a subtle orange tone and matte finish. MAC Chrome Yellow Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “vivid bright yellow (with a Matte finish).” It’s a medium, warm-toned yellow with a matte finish.

Happy Swatch Saturday! Today, I’m bringing you photos and swatches of five current (permanent!) shades of MAC’s yellow and gold-hued eyeshadows, plus two (somewhat) recently discontinued shades ( Bright Sunshine, you will be missed!) Any favorites? Are any of these must-haves for you? What yellows/golds do you wish MAC would make permanent?
